THANKSGIVING

I worked as in interviewer for our local charity, Brighter Christmas. As a volunteer I listened to why they needed help and what they need. I came home very grateful. These are people, some disabled or on welfare, that live on as little as $82 a month after paying rent and PG&E. They go to Interfaith Ministry for food and used clothing. They come with all their information and hat in hand.

Our family is blessed. We are not smarter, nicer, or more kind than these folks we interviewed. We are lucky -- and today, especially thankful.

Kilkenny, Ireland Hurling Champs

We were in Dublin when 87,000 watched Kilkenny play Tipperary for the All Island Hurling Championship. Kilkenny won and we went down there, stayed a couple of days and got to see the town celebrate. The video was taken outside a bar and across the street is the Visitor's Information Center near Kilkenny Castle. Kilkenny's City colours are black and gold. Any excuse to party.
